ABOUT LYNSEY

 I've worked with neurodivergent people for my entire career.  I genuinely believe that creating environments which respect, understand, embrace and welcome neurodivergent people is essential.  I myself identify as neurodivergent and so I can also bring my own personal experiences to my approach.

With a Masters Degree in Autism (Adults), I am currently a PhD student at University of Strathclyde.  My research focus is on improving dementia detection and assessment for autistic people.  This gives me the opportunity to keep up to date with contemporary research and understanding of autism and neurodiversity which I can bring to my work.

I have over 15 years of experience in working and communicating with autistic people as colleagues, people I've supported, friends and family members.  I have worked with local authorities, large corporations, academics, charities, employers, government, health colleagues, education colleagues, and, most importantly neurodivergent individuals.  I have a range of experience from delivering large scale training events, to providing 1:1 support to autistic employees.  Throughout my career I've had the opportunity to write guidance, training and research reports which have been used across Scotland to increase understanding of autism.

I take an assets-based approach in all of my work and I fully believe autistic and other neurodivergent people should be at the absolute heart of all I do.  I also understand the importance of tailoring any work we do to the client's individual needs.  Working with you throughout the process, I am driven by making a difference and supporting you to achieve whatever your goal may be.
